Darkstar - Illustration

ANTHOLOGY SKATEBOARD SERIES

This series was done for Darkstar Skateboards. This project entailed using existing characters and illustrating each in an action posture that could lockup with in a frame, as if it were a video game selection screen. The ornate frames were intended to give a medieval vibe, and the extra ornaments that wrap each frame were chosen for each characters personality. Riders names, and an additional “Darkstar” lettering/ logo lockup, were given a custom bold gothic serif style, similar to what might be seen at tattoo parlors.
